The best ebook subscription deal of 2017
In 2018, more than 2 million people have signed up for the free ebook download service EPUB Unlimited.
But just how many people actually use it?
How many people download books to read?
And how often do they use it, and how many books do they actually read?
EPUB is a subscription service, which means it costs $4.99 a month to download a book.
Ebooks are typically bought from libraries and booksellers, but sometimes they’re downloaded from a cloud service, like Amazon, which can save a huge amount of money in terms of bandwidth, storage, and downloads.
Amazon says its Kindle Unlimited service is the best option for reading ebooks online.
But that’s a bit of an overstatement, says David Siegel, vice president of the digital book market at eBooks.com.
“Kindle Unlimited is actually the only service I know of that gives you an unlimited amount of reading time,” he says.
It’s an expensive option, which is why Amazon and other ebook services like Apple and Google charge extra fees for using their services.
What’s the best ebook book subscription?
When we asked readers about the best books they read, they tended to be more specific than average.
When asked, for example, what they’d like to read next, readers tended to say books like “The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott Fitzgerald, “Logan” by Neil Gaiman, and “The Handmaid’s Tale” by Margaret Atwood.
The authors listed on the top of the list tend to have a lot of readership, and those authors have a ton of readers.
In fact, Amazon’s list of the 100 most-read authors includes five authors with over 500,000 book reviews.
So, even though the number of books available on Kindle Unlimited is impressive, Amazon isn’t giving away free downloads to all its users.
Instead, the company is offering a $10-a-month Kindle Unlimited plan, which comes with a 30-day trial.
A 30-days trial is an attractive option for many people, but it comes at a cost.
If you decide to sign up for a trial, you’ll need to pay $11.99 to access all the books that have been downloaded so far.
That’s $2.29 per book.
But if you sign up to a subscription plan for a week, you can read those books for $1.99 each.
And if you’re going to read every book available on the service, the plan is only for a limited time.
Readers said they like the way Amazon handles its books, but said they’d prefer a subscription that offered the same level of free reading.
Siegel said he thinks this is the way that people in the ebook market will decide whether or not to sign on to a service like Kindle Unlimited.
He said that Amazon wants people to sign-up for a free ebook service for the benefit of their entire library.
While it’s not exactly a magic bullet, he said that by offering a 30 day trial, Amazon is able to offer customers a discount on books that are already available.
This makes sense, because Amazon’s Kindle Unlimited program is designed to provide access to books from a library that isn’t necessarily the best fit for a reader, Siegel says.
