Amazon Prime membership gives you access to ebooks from the comfort of your couch
Amazon has announced plans to expand its Prime service to allow its members to download ebooks, making it easier to read and enjoy ebooks on the go.
The service is available to Prime members on iOS and Android devices.
“Amazon has a long history of building apps that make reading and sharing ebooks easier,” Amazon said in a blog post announcing the service.
“We’ve always valued the ability to enjoy our books in whatever way we choose, and this is a new way for us to deliver that experience.”
The service will be available for free for two weeks, starting on March 18.
Prime members who want to download free eBooks can do so at Amazon.com or through the app, which will launch on March 25.
To get access to the service, Amazon recommends signing up for a free trial period of one month.
The free trial will be valid until April 5, Amazon said.
