What if there’s no Madden 20 game next year?
In a new interview, Madden NFL franchise owner Stephen Ross revealed that the game he’s in the process of developing for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will not be the last installment in the franchise.
In a new episode of the podcast, titled Madden 20: The Podcast for a Better Future, Ross explained that the Madden franchise was the subject of intense discussion when it came to the last two installments of the series.
“The discussion about that game, we thought that there was no way it could be the final installment,” Ross said.
“We were looking at the franchise with a lot of excitement.
It was one of those conversations that was very intense and we just didn’t have that option.
I think it was one that I have to take a moment to reflect on.”
Ross said he’s “not going to comment on any specifics” regarding the development of the game beyond the fact that the development team has reached a conclusion.
But he did say that the franchise’s last two games were highly anticipated by the public, and that the last game was more than enough for him to focus on.
“That’s the type of game that you want to see,” Ross continued.
“It was one where we had a lot more fans in the world, it was a very popular game, and it was very successful.
That was a big reason why I was able to do what I was doing.
I don’t know what I would do without that game.
I’m not going to answer that question.
It’s not going away.”
Ross was asked if the next game in the series will be a new version of the popular game.
“There will be,” he said.
